My Dream-Creepy Attic in the Sky, dancing to “Flawless” While the witch woman is watching.

I just had a weird dream.
It’s one of those dreams where you wake up, and you feel like you just had a mystical, other worldly experience.

I had a dream I was in Oklahoma. My mother and Grandmother had just separated from my father and sister and I after watching an amazing colorful puppet show.

When we separated, I suddenly noticed there was a huge, unreported tornado in the sky. We tried and tried to call my Mom, but I couldn’t dial her number. I was using my old, pre-iPhone, phone. My Dad and sister and I were driving on a highway that looked like a familiar highway in the middle of nowhere back home.
Before I knew it, my Dad somehow magically made my sister and I jump into this huge abyss over the clouds. We landed on these pointy rocks in the sky above the clouds. I asked Dad why he made us jump, and he said “There wasn’t supposed to be anything here.” He was trying to help us kill ourselves, because the tornado was coming.

Suddenly, I was in a giant attic in the sky. The tornado part was over, and I was in this weird place, with all these crazy old books and stuff. There were a lot of bad books, and I had a feeling the owner of the giant attic was creepy. I walked around for awhile, until suddenly I became my best friend, Tamara. I was hiding from people that were trying to hunt me. I pretended to be a giant doll from the 1960s, a doll that looked something that looked like Twiggy.
I tilted my head and made a weird face so that I wouldn’t be recognized, but suddenly my mother came, and knew who I (Tamara) was.

The next thing I knew, I had ventured into a higher level of the attic in the sky. There was an evil/dark spirit woman living there. It was like she knew everything that was happening when people entered her attic.

Next thing I knew, I was in the attic with a bunch of people from high school. They were making out in different rooms, and trying to sneakily do things that I thought were wrong.

Before I knew it, I was in a bigger room of the attic. The witch lady was a level higher in the attic.
Instead of finding the witch lady, I stayed, and suddenly danced to “Flawless” by Beyonce. I also free-style rapped. ..This was all going on while knowing the the witch lady was watching somehow.
My friend Jodi joined me in the singing and dancing, and then it looked like I was looking over a room full of people dancing like a group in an MTV music video.
During that part, I had a really dark feeling, yet I also had a joy when dancing with Jodi, because we took the song lightly, and I hadn’t seen her in so long. After that, my mother, again, was looking at us and watching, I think. She was good and smiling, and very separate from the witch woman.
I was able to have fun with people that cared about me for a long time, even though I was in a very dark place.

Tornado

Such a weird feeling.
The tragedy that happened in Oklahoma today is so incredibly shocking and sad. When you hear about things like this on the news, they are always devastating..But they never feel very personal until they actually hit you close to home.
I grew up in Oklahoma and had hung out with friends and went to places that are simply gone now.
The weird thing is I’m living here in Japan now as all this is happening.
A part of me feels so blessed to be here, and like my dreams are coming true. At the same time, my heart is so heavy for everyone back home. Oklahoma is such a community oriented culture. People really love each other and help each other when in need.
I can remember in my hometown, if someone had cancer or serious sickness, the whole community would have some kind of benefit/event just to raise money to help those people pay their hospital bills.
This is true community. Something that you don’t always have this kind of mutual understanding and love in urban areas.
As much as I love Tokyo and what it has to offer, I will always cherish where I grew up. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of ya’ll back home. I would ask that people who follow my tumblr to pray as well.
It is easy to feel comfortable and safe in a very convenient modernized world. But today is a personal reminder for me that we never know how long we have on this earth. Hug those close to you and tell them you love them today. Sorry to have such a heavy/sad/long post. Just sharing my thoughts here. Thank you all for your support and prayers for people in Oklahoma.
